INSIDE OUT

Inside Out, Pixar (rated PG). A beautiful and hilarious story about the inner life of a 12-year old who moves across the country. Pay special attention to when the islands of personality start to break down. What are some ways that can happen for TCKs? What’s a personal example of a time that happened?

PORTOFINO

Portofino, by Frank Schaeffer

Disclaimer: missionary moms hate this book. It’s crass, it’s sarcastic, and some of it hits very close to home. But it gives a really good insight into the ways that TCKs raised by career Christians in a foreign culture can inherit a complicated idea of what faith looks like.
