It only costs $10/family and includes a welcome game, a creative activity, and discussion time with the staff and other TCKs.

TCK Club is priced to maintain the same standard of quality across virtual platforms to bring you expert Club leaders and an easy registration process. However, we never want financial differences or temporary stress to be a reason your TCKs can’t join us here! Any culturally complex kid, ages 7 to 16! Kaleidoscope’s TCK Club connects third culture kids and cross-cultural kids with online community and leaders who “get it”. Following registration, groups are divided by ages and time zones...because #tckproblems.

Is your TCK 17 or older? They can volunteer to be a leader!

Step 2:

About 2 weeks before your chosen session starts, we'll match your TCKs with a TCK 101 club based on time preferences.

Step 3:

Confirm the timing works for you by completing the consent form and choosing your payment option.

Step 4:

Mark your calendar for TCK Club and have your TCKs practice their best virtual dance party moves!

The TCK 101 covers three important TCK topics: identity, story, and goodbyes. We spend two weeks on each topic: first we cover key concepts and facilitate initial discussion, and the second week is devoted entirely to practical application and creative processing! Each session meets once a week for 45-60 minutes and includes guided discussions, games (SO many games) and reflection activities .

TCK Clubs by topic also meet once a week for 45-60 minutes and are planned and facilitated by expert Club Leaders. See Club descriptions for more details.

All sessions meet in Zoom—you don’t need an account to join! Once you register your TCK, they will be placed in a group based on age and time preference and you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to connect to the group!

Our 2022 dates are:

February 7 - March 18 (Register by January 28)

April 11 - May 20 (Register by April 1)

June 13 - July 22 (Register by June 3)

August 15 - September 23 (Register by August 5)

October 10 - November 18 (Register by October 1)

Each group will be facilitated by two Kaleidoscope-trained and vetted volunteers Kaleiders or expert Club Leaders. These Kaleiders and Club Leaders facilitate activities and discussion that provide consistent debrief, ongoing friendship, and teach practical skills.

TCK Club does not provide professional counseling, coaching, or therapy services. This is also not a babysitting program! Leaders will not provide any unsolicited or direct advice to your TCKs. The purpose of these groups is to provide the space for TCKs to come together to share their stories and to process their experiences.

Consistent debrief through TCK Club does NOT replace a full debrief or professional counseling! If your child or family has experienced a significant transition, traumatic event, or has mental health concerns we highly recommend completing a Parent-Led or Personal Debrief through TCK Training or speaking to a TCK-informed therapist at Safe Place.

Your TCKs’ safety and well-being is our number one priority. We train all of our volunteers to uphold the strictest child safety standards of care, and we’re also taking every measure to protect your TCKs as they interact with Kaleidoscope virtually. Upon acceptance to the program, you will receive a detailed copy of our child safety policy and sign a consent form that informs you of the safety specifics of our digital platform.
